The Russian Embassy in Madrid

All know of Ilya Glazunov as a master of historical painting and as a creator of large scale works. He is famous for his lyrical series of paintings entitled “City,” and for his illustrations of Russian classical literature including, most importantly, works by his beloved author, Fyodor Dostoyevsky. His talents as a portrait painter have brought him worldwide fame. Now, however, we are presented with one more aspect of Glazunov’s talents – that of architect and interior designer. Glazunov has designed the interiors of the Russian Embassy in Madrid, which have created quite a splash in the artistic world of Europe.
